Coolattin, Wicklow
Coolattin is a beautifully scenic part of Wicklow with some magnificent woodland alongside the Derry river. The coolattin estate was 85,000 acres covering a fifth of county Wicklow and home to 20,000 tenants in 1643 (before the famine).
Golf has been played in coolattin since the early part of this century, with the Earl Fitzwilliam spending many a sporting vacation at Coolattin. The present golf club (18 hole) welcomes members and visitors alike.
